Pablo Escobar was one of the most famous drug lords in history – with plenty of money, power, and drugs to his name. A fascinating man with a legacy people are still talking about until today (check out Narcos on Netflix). But what most people don’t know about Pablo, was that he was also a dedicated family man! So after his tumultuous life and sudden death, what happened to Pablo Escobar’s family?
The Pablo Escobar Family Tree
Pablo came from a very poor and impoverished family and like many young men in the region, became a criminal due to the desperate living conditions.
But his kids didn’t have to live a life of poverty – according to many sources, their father loved and lavished them with wealth.
He had two kids with his wife Maria Victoria Henao: Juan Pablo/Sebastian Escobar and Manuela Escobar. Details about their early life are scarce, but it’s likely that they lived and moved between one of Pablo’s many properties in Colombia and the US.
It’s also possible that Pablo Escobar may have had other children since he had plenty of relationships with other women aside from Maria. But outside of the two women that have stepped forward (journalist Virginia Vallejo in 2007 and Griselda Blanco in 2013), no one else has claimed to be his heirs.
Is Pablo Escobar Alive Right Now?
Pablo Escobar died of gunshot wounds on December 2nd 1993, over 25 years ago.
Where Are The Siblings Today?
It seems like one of Pablo’s two legitimate children has managed to stay out of the limelight, but thankfully, both are living very different lives from their father.
There’s not a lot of information about the whereabouts of Manuela Escobar; no Instagram, no Facebook, and no Twitter either! Pablo Escobar’s daughter has largely stayed off social media and is living a quiet life. The few reports we have of her say she went in hiding with her mother after Pablo’s death and is now living under an assumed name.
